How does The Friendliest cover adoption costs?
The Friendliest is funded mostly through contributions by the founders, and directly donates to shelters for the strict purpose of adoption fee coverage. We are open to fundraising or making donations on behalf of an external contributor, you may send those inquiries to contribute@thefriendliest.org. Please note, however, we are not a non-profit organization.
Can I receive financial support for adoption from The Friendliest Fund?
To ensure that shelter animals are provided an appropriate home, The Friendliest Fund does not directly assist adoptees financially. We trust that the adoption specialists will vet their candidates and we do our best to only support shelters with an application process. The Friendliest Fund was started in Nebraska, USA and is continuously looking for amazing shelters to donate to in the Midwest region.
Why is The Friendliest Fund for shelter adoptions only?
Every animal deserves love, and you cannot put a price on love. We understand that there are many opinions and preferences out there, but one thing stands true: millions of animals have been abandoned and now sit in many shelters and rescues. Our hope is that our contributions no matter how small or large will help by making sure the shelters can continue doing their work without putting a financial barrier between a pet and their home.
